Oxfam is implementing the Building Resilient Livelihood Project in two districts of Daikundi Province in partnership with the Organization of Human Welfare(OHW) an Afghan local NGO. The project has two streams; firstly, it will strengthen capacity of dairy and almond producers to sustainably increase volume, quality and profitability of their products which will, in turn, create further income opportunities for the poor as laborers. Secondly, the project will broaden the livelihood options of the poorest and most vulnerable (who may not otherwise benefit from improvements to almond and dairy production) through more relevant vocational or agricultural skills development and means.
