World Vision’s AACRS program considers key elements of the Badghis context, lessons learned from World Vision’s programs in Afghanistan and best practice in achieving livelihoods improvements, to ensure Communities and families inBadghis have livelihoods that are more sustainable and inclusive of vulnerable groupsby the end of the program. WV’s AACRS approach includes three outcome areas:
1) families are more food secure through improvements in Agricultural methodologies and improved water management
2) producers sell more products in existing and new markets, helped by the establishment of farmer producer and savings groups
3) the vulnerable, including women-headed households are benefiting from program initiatives ensured through community based curriculums considering societal norms and attitudes.
WV has been actively involved in the AACRS since 2014.
